I finally introduced some bandits to Eldaraim. They appear on page 87 and disappear on page 88, after successfully having robbed one group of main characters. I'll probably cut them in the second draft, but right now they move the story along nicely.

Yes, I love bandits and highwaymen and outlaws. I find them entertaining because they can break the law as it suits them and for many other reasons too, but I tried to avoid having them in Eldaraim. I feel they don't fit in. Yeah, I know there's bound to be some criminals in every world, but it just doesn't feel right in Eldaraim. Bands of outlaws, that is.

And I think I'll use Cahol as a PoV-character instead of Firon in the second draft. Those names told you very much. Cahol and Firon are two owl knights from Clan Machait, the clan that's been almost killed off on an island pretty early in the story. Firon is pretty blank and a passive character. She bores me. Cahol, on the other hand, goes around and does things without people telling her, she argues a lot and makes her own choices, for better or for worse. Usually for worse. She doesn't whine either. She's a mean bitch, really. I like her very well. I'm certain she'll make a better PoV-character than Firon.

Currently my wordcount is at 42 193 words. That's 90 pages, that is. Soon I'll need to tie up the story.

Yeah. And I don't like the winter time of the year here in Norway. It's getting dark around three o'clock. This means that I hardly ever see daylight these days. I leave for school when it's dark and I come home from school when it's dark, and it's doing something to my temper. I feel unmotivated and... I won't say I'm depressed, but I feel kind of hollow. It's not fun. I don't really do anything. I don't really need to push myself to do such things as homework and caring for my ducks and birds and rabbit and horse, because... I don't know, it just feels like too much of a chore these days. Especially the homework. Not the media part of it, but science and math and all that. I've been doing it for the last ten years. I've had enough of it. Luckily it'll be more media next year.

Yes, I'm having a great life and all that, I just feel pretty worthless every now and then xP It's no fun, living in the dark at all times. I want to get the summer back.
